First Snow

Saturday night brought me two unexpected items of note:-

1. A drunken teenager (less said, the better here).

2. The first snow of the year.

So, as Sunday broke, the boys set to with white warfare and the wee one explored (her second ever encounter with snow) with her fingertips.

The mutts were unconvinced about the whole affair, it seemed.

Little Missy, however, was quite sure. She no likey dat snowballs.

Rainy Day

You take a rainy week and watch the forecast tightly. It says DRY for 3 hours on Sunday morning, so you plan your shoot accordingly.

You arrive, it is dry. Your client arrives in a whirlwind of torrential rain, frizzy haired & sobbing children.

You plough on.

One teddy in the mud, one fall in the puddles, muddy knees and teary little faces. Second shoot on the way.

Strawberry blonde

It has rained and rained and rained so much for the past month that I had considered an ark. And then the winter sun made an appearance right on cue.

A tiny strawberry blonde, a little unsteady on her feet (but nonetheless eager to please), gave me the runaround for an hour or so.

It was a day for fast shooting. Mummy sat her in place, then ran like the wind out of shot whilst I machine-gunned with my Nikon to capture the nano-second of perfection before she was off. In to the mud mainly. LOL.

The reservoir

A late afternoon stroll with the mutts around the reservoir gave us perfect light and a great excuse to shoot a few snaps.

Skimming stones - has there ever been a generation that this has failed to please?
